Welcome to Grace Evangelical Church

There are several nouns in Scripture used to describe the church. If we were to choose our favorite, it would be family. We know you can be separated and still be family, but in our experience, it’s always better when we are together. If only one person is gone, there is something missing. This church is a family and if we are never together then something is missing. It’s not always neat and tidy when we are together, but it’s secure, it’s welcoming, it’s fun, it’s home, and...yeah, it’s just better! Welcome home to family.

We are glad you are here!  Here's a few FAQ's

Q:  Where is Grace? (click google maps)

A:  Grace is located south of 169 Highway, just east of Interstate 29. From South 169 Highway, take a right onto FF Highway and keep your eyes to the left!

5103 S. 50th St.  Saint Joseph MO 64507   816.279.2090

Q:  What do you have for my kids?

A:  We are set up and ready for all ages!

Currently our nursery and children's ministry are not available. We will resume these when it is safe to do so.

When we resume we will have a fully staffed nursery (newborn-3 years) during our services that will keep your little ones safe and well cared for.

High Five Ministry is our Children's Ministry headed up by Pastor Dan Blakely and welcomes age 4 years to 6th Grade.

ReSet is our Youth Ministry, lead by Pastor Nick Pierce, and welcomes teenagers from grades 7-12.

Q:  What's Sunday morning like?

A:  Well that's not so hard.  It's a full morning of community, teaching, and worship!

We have three different service times, all held in the main sanctuary:

8:00am  and 10:30am.

When we are able, we will resume Sunday School at 9:30am.

Q:  A large church is great, but is there any way to get into smaller groups?

A:  Absolutely!!  In addition to our Sunday School classes, we have our Grace Growth Groups.  Grace Growth Groups are small groups that have roughly 12-15 people per group.  You sign up per quarter and you get a chance to build real relationships within the church.  We study the passage that was preached on the Sunday prior and dig deep with questions and fellowship.

Q:  How does your church serve the community?

A:  We are involved in our community through Hands of Grace

Everyone is invited to be a part of Hands of Grace. The Hands of Grace committee meets the last Sunday of every month at 5:00 pm at the church. Everyone is welcome to attend the monthly meeting. Please join us to find out what we are already committed to and what we are doing in our area to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Q:  I don't have kids & I'm in my golden years.  Is there anything I can be part of?

A:  Absolutely!  Movers and Shakers meet once a month for a potluck, and quite often they go to a dinner theater for great entertainment.  Also our Women's and Men's ministry have great opportunities for ministry at the church and in our community.

Q:  How is your church involved in missions?

A:  Grace supports multiple missionaries all over the world.  We have a whole week dedicated to focusing on what we are doing in the mission field and how our church can be involved. We plan several trips during the year and would love to have you join us. Look out our missions page to see what's going on right now.

If you have any other questions, please give us a call (816-279-2090) and we will be happy to get you an answer.
